Saudi Arabia: Two gunmen killed, three security men wounded in clash

An official source at the Saudi Interior Ministry said Tuesday that the security follow-up of the attack, in which Major Gen. Mubarak Al-Sawat was killed in the city of Mecca on June 18 identified two persons belonging to the "deviant group", which committed this attack.


"The security forces monitored their car early Tuesday morning near Jeddah Governorate, consequently, they were followed by security forces and they started firing. As such, the security forces responded by counter-fire on them which resulted in the damage of the car. They, then took forcefully a citizen's car and opted for refugee in a building which was surrounded by security forces, leading to an exchange of fire and resulting in their death.

During the clash, three security men were injured, one of them seriously.
