Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Thursday said that following U.S. President Bush's Mideast speech, the free world was giving the Palestinians a simple choice: a choice between "terror and peace."
In a speech delivered at an economic conference, held in Jerusalem, Sharon said he had reached a secret agreement with the US administration concerning a political plan that would give new hope for a peace agreement in the Mideast.
He added that although this plan did not mean the end of strife in the region, he was planning to hold meetings with Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, Security Minister Benjamin Ben Eliezer and Finance Minister Silvan Shalom to work out the details of this plan, The Jerusalem Post reported.
Sharon added that now the Palestinians have to decide whether they wanted to have "a corrupt Palestinian Authority backing terror, or economic development and prosperity." "We have made our decision," Sharon stated. (Albawaba.com)
