Police arrested a man allegedly involved in a shootout that took place in a town south of Beirut which led to the death of a teenage boy, the Internal Security Forces reported Wednesday.
ISF said in a statement that Baabda police, who were leading the investigation, detained Aa.Aa. in the town of Mgheireh in the city of Jbeil, north of Beirut.
A verbal spat between the 22-year-old suspect and 20-year-old M.N. evolved into a shooting spree late Tuesday in Khalde, south of Beirut.
The suspect reportedly began shooting at people in the area using a rifle, killing a thirteen-year-old boy and slightly wounding another.
