ALBAWABA - Yahya Sinwar, the political leader of Hamas, thanked Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of Hezbollah, for the party's continued participation in the "Al-Aqsa Flood" assault against Israeli soldiers.

Sinwar's letter was made public by the Hezbollah media office on Friday morning. This recognition comes barely one month after Sinwar assumed control of Hamas when Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran on July 31.

In the letter, Sinwar expressed his "deep gratitude" for the message from Nasrallah, which congratulated him on his new position and offered his sympathies for Haniyeh's passing.

Sinwar said that Haniyeh's sacrifice during the "Al-Aqsa Flood" fight demonstrated that the blood of the Palestinian people is just as precious as that of the leadership and praised Hezbollah for its strong support and involvement in the resistance.

"The sacrifices made by these martyrs will only strengthen our resolve to fight the Zionist occupation," Sinwar said, branding Israeli soldiers as "Nazi Zionists."

He underlined Hamas' unwavering dedication to respecting the sacrifices made by its martyrs and pledged to preserve the values that Haniyeh battled for—namely, the solidarity of the Palestinian people in their fight and the unwavering attitude of the larger "Axis of Resistance" against Israel.

In his letter, Sinwar reaffirmed Hamas' commitment to achieving Palestinian liberation—with Jerusalem as its capital—by struggle and unity up to the end of Israeli rule.

Additionally, earlier this week, Sinwar praised Algeria's continued support of the Palestinian cause and congratulated President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria on his reelection.

Following Haniyeh's murder, Sinwar was overwhelmingly elected as the new chairman of the political bureau, and Hamas formally proclaimed this on August 6.
