Spotlight on Asian Cuisine at Rosewood Corniche
Jeddah diners treated to new dishes and special promotions at Noodles and Ginza i Chome in May
For the finest Asian fare in Jeddah, diners look no further than Rosewood Corniche. Restaurants Noodles and Ginza i Chome are set to conquer the hearts and mouths of diners in Jeddah with promotions and new dishes for the month of May.
With great fanfare, Noodles is unveiling its tribute to Cantonese cuisine as Chef Zhang Qiang, the head chef of the interactive restaurant, showcases the best dishes all month long. Born and raised in the Canton region, Chef Zhang has ample experience in preparing classic Cantonese cuisine, but matches traditional skills with his personal, creative variations to truly stimulate taste-buds.
Seafood, a staple in Cantonese cooking, takes centre stage at Noodles, a delicious prospect for Jeddah residents and visitors who share a similar love of freshly caught fish. Lobster, prawns, and a variety of shellfish are prepared to perfection under Chef Zhang’s direction as well as a variety of beef, chicken and duck dishes all served in authentic Cantonese style.
As an added bonus, visitors to Noodles in May are able to experience the restaurant’s excellent value for money dim sum promotion. All you can eat dumplings, filled with chicken, beef, lobster, prawns, crab, or vegetables, prepared to order, steamed, pan-fried, or deep-fried are available for only SAR99.
Meanwhile, Ginza i Chome is raising the bar for fine dining in Jeddah yet again, as Rosewood Corniche’s leading Japanese restaurant introduces a soba promotion for the month of May and revamps their signature Omakase concept.
The restaurant, a favourite of Jeddah residents and hotel guests, is based on the Japanese dining concept of Omakase. The team of chefs at Ginza i Chome guide diners through their meal, selecting creative dishes for them to try and assuring that the culinary journey is in expert hands, allowing guests to relax and simply enjoy each innovative course served.
The Omakase experience is available as a six-course menu for SAR200 or an eight-course menu for SAR255. For diners feeling slightly less adventurous, an a la carte menu with daily chef’s specials is available, with a diverse selection of dishes delighting frequent customers and first-time hotel guests alike.
For even greater variety, diners at Ginza i Chome can experience a celebration of soba noodles throughout the month of May. The promotion pays homage to the thin, buckwheat noodles that are staples in traditional Japanese cuisine, and provides a light but thoroughly satisfying meal, ideal for lunch or dinner during hot Jeddah summers.
The soba is traditionally prepared, served hot or cold with seafood, meat or poultry, but the chefs at Ginza i Chome add distinctive flavours and ingredients for an innovative twist. One example is cha-soba, bringing chilled green tea noodles together with chopped scallion, fresh wasabi and dashi-shoyu sauce, while soba carbonara is a Japanese-Italian hybrid of soba noodles, beef bacon, scallops, and parmesan cheese.
Finally, the popular maki promotion returns for another month at Ginza i Chome. Fish or vegetables are rolled with sushi rice and seaweed and then sliced into bite-size pieces. The small servings give diners a chance to try an array of different preparations and fillings; all you can eat maki costs SAR114.
“The culinary team of Rosewood Corniche does not rest on their laurels,” said Hans-Peter Leitzke, Managing Director at Rosewood Corniche.
