Twenty people were killed during tribal violence in the southwestern Sudanese town of Adila, a member of parliament told the press Sunday.
The victims were members of the Maaliya tribe, attacked by their Razaykat rivals who were avenging the death of one of their own, a policeman himself killed by a Maaliya policeman, MP Hamed Ahmed Dalila said, according to AFP.
He added that flames during the violence destroyed several villages before local police forces took control of the situation. (Albawaba.com)
