Omani Sultan Qaboos bin Said left Muscat Monday for Kuwait on a brotherly private visit during which he is scheduled to meet Sheikh Jabir al-Ahmed al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.
The farewell party for his Majesty upon his departure at the Royal Airport was headed by Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers.
During his visit, the Omani Sultan is expected to discuss with the Emir of Kuwait the excellent brotherly relations between the two countries and issues of existing cooperation between them in all fields.
In addition, they are to exchange views on matters of concern in the Arab and International arenas in wake of recent developments, Oman News Agency reported.
The delegation accompanying the Sultan consists of Sayyid Ali bin Hamoud al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, General Ali bin Majid al Ma'amari, Minister of the Royal Office, Major General Sultan bin Mohamed al Nu'mani, Secretary-General of the Diwan of Royal Court Affairs, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed bin Abdul Nabi Macki, Minister of National Economy and Supervisor of the Finance Ministry, Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed al Rowas, Advisor to the Sultan for Cultural Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed bin Moosa, Minister of Health, Maqbool bin Ali bin Sultan, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Sheikh Salim bin Suhail al Ma'shani, Sultanate's ambassador to Kuwait.
