The Swedish Social Democrat youth organization (SSU) is to report Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon to the police for serious attacks on the Palestinians.
Lawyer Peter Bergqvist, who is behind the report to the police, said it is now time to use Sweden's national legislation to tackle breaches of international law in Israel, reported Swedish radio Ekot web site. The Swedish legislation is some of the strictest in Europe in this area, added Peter Bergqvist.
The prosecutor's task will be to take a position on whether charges should be made and whether a request should be made for suspects to be extradited. The final decision will rest with the government, commented Bergqvist. (Albawaba.com)
