Sweet Factory marks its sixth year at Modhesh Fun City

Sweet Factory, the leading ‘pick & mix’ confectionery retailer world wide, is celebrating its sixth year collaboration with Modhesh Fun City, the largest edutainment covered area in the region. The franchise, purchased by the Dubai based general trading company BHD LLC, first accommodated its unique stand in MFC in 2002 and has gained a great deal of popularity among the fun city visitors of all nationalities.

Ahmed Ali, MFC Manager said, “Hosting Sweet Factory in our fun city for the past six years has been a great success story; children who visit us are always attracted to their colourful stands and enjoy their products. This comes as part of our relentless commitment to cater for all our visitors needs and we look forward to enhance this relationship in the future.”

Lisa Rosén, Managing Director of BHD LLC said, “Being part of this great venue for the past six years comes as a result of the similitude of the core values of Sweet Factory and Modhesh Fun City - drawing smiles on children faces no matter where they come from while providing them with wide choice of high quality confectionery products”.

“To commemorate our sixth anniversary at Modhesh Fun City we will be organising a great party for children with lots of surprises and gifts that would surely add to the festive environment of the city and give the children the time of their lives. The details of this party will be announced early next week,” added Lisa.

The Sweet Factory was founded in 1987, with the first shop in England. It was set-up to be the world’s leading Pick ‘n’ Mix brand, also being the first franchise in the United Arab Emirates to introduce the unique concept of Pick ‘n’ Mix confectionery in 1996. The license was purchased by the Dubai based general trading company BHD LLC with the aim that the Pick ‘n’ Mix concept would be extended to the markets in the Middle East. Since then, the Sweet Factory has proven itself to be very successful and profitable that it has extended operations and outlets all over the UAE and the Middle East Region.

They offer more than 100 confectionery products consisting of hard and jelly candy, marshmallows, chocolate and fudge displayed in different compact kiosk designs. Their products, certified as halal products, come from mainly Turkey, Spain, Italy, the UK, and Holland. The franchise also has vegetarian and natural products to choose from so that the customers can make their own mixes according to their tastes and preferences.
