Swire Shipping Announces New Service into the Arabian Gulf
With the commencement of the new MES service, Swire will be connecting ports in North America and the Arabian Gulf
Kanoo Shipping, the Middle East agents for Swire Shipping, today announced the commencement of Swire Shipping’s Middle East Service (MES) linking the US Gulf and US East Coast with Dammam and Jebel Ali in the Arabian Gulf. The new MES service will be operated on a monthly frequency with two self geared 30,000 dwt multi-purpose, tween-deck vessels capable of handling heavy lift cargo of upto 200 mtons.

The two modern multi-purpose vessels, the Pacific Dream and Pacific Destiny, are well equipped to handle and carry bulk, project, heavy lift and container cargoes. The vessel’s rotation will be Houston (U.S. Gulf) - Saint John (East Canada) - Camden (U.S. East Coast) - Suez - Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) - Dammam (Saudi Arabia) - Jebel Ali (U.A.E.) - Mumbai (India) - Houston (U.S. Gulf) - Saint John (East Canada) - Camden (U.S. East Coast).
