The “Music and Solidarity” concert, which is organized by the National Solidarity Fund (FSN- Fonds de Solidarite Nationale) and the Austrian-Tunisian Friendship Association, in conjunction with the Austrian embassy in Tunis and the International Festival of El Jem, will host this year The Symphonic Orchestra of Vienna.
The Viennese Orchestra, under the direction of Uwe Theimer, together with the ballet members of the popular Opera of Vienna, will perform at the El Jem amphitheatre on July 9 at 21.00.
<i>La Presse</i> reports that the concert, described as "a symbol of the Tunisia-Austrian friendship", will constitute the official opening of the International Festival of “Music and Solidarity”. All profits from this concert will be donated to the FSN.
