Syrian rebels killed approximately 14 people in central Hama province early Wednesday, AFP reports.
Activists on the ground say women and children were among the group of people executed.
“14 residents of Khatab in the northwestern Hama countryside were killed, including seven female civilians, by rebel brigades,” the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
According to AFP, the rebels accused the executed of being involved with Assad’s regime.
Over 162,000 people have died in Syria’s civil war. Millions of Syrians have been forced to flee to neighboring countries to escape the ongoing violence.
