Syrian Information Minister Mahdi Dakhlallah called for expanded cooperation between the Iranian and Syrian media.
He made the call during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Syria
Mohammad Reza Baqeri in Damascus Saturday night during which he also praised Iran's principled policies, according to <i>IRNA</i>.
In addition, he pointed to the importance of an honest presentation by
the two countries' media and press of the achievements of either
country to the people of the other.
He also invited members of press and media of both countries to
expand their cooperation in the interest of promoting bilateral relations.
Referring to the upcoming visit of the Syrian prime minister to Iran, the minister said it would be an "important" visit, and hoped that it would bring positive economic and strategic results for the two countries.
