Ta'aheel, the region's premier events management company and consultant for the beverage industry, has announced that 15 of the most prominent international speakers have confirmed their participation in the 2nd Arab Beverages Forum, being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from June 15 to 16, 2008, and sponsored by Tetra Pak manufacturing, food processing and packaging solutions. The powerful line-up of speakers includes CEOs, topflight consultants, Managing Directors and other decision makers of renowned global firms from all over the world.

Ta'aheel also announced that it expects more international speakers to attend the annual Forum, where participants and keynote speakers will conduct high-level discussions on key developments and innovations affecting the beverage industry, particularly in the Arab World.

"We are excited to have gathered a group of highly distinguished speakers from the global beverage industry. Their presence will definitely add lustre to the event as participants are looking forward to gaining new market insights from the most respected leaders of the industry. With such a power-packed line-up of speakers, we are on track to duplicating, if not surpassing the success of the inaugural Arab Beverages Forum," said Sharaf Dabbagh, President, Ta'aheel.

The 2nd Arab Beverages Forum, a first-of-its-kind high-level networking platform among regional and global industry leaders, has outlined key topics that will be discussed during the event. Among the areas that will be given focus are global perspective on trends and scopes, innovations and emerging trends in dairy products, trends in energy, sports and malt beverages; and global and Arab trends in fruit juice markets.

Also on the agenda are discussions on proliferation of brands and trademark positioning; packaging innovations, new retail and marketing trends, partnerships through distribution and channel management, health issues arising from beverages, as well as issues concerning ingredients.

Also to be held concurrently with the 2nd Arab Beverages Forum are the first Bottled Water Forum and the first Flavours and Food Additives Exhibition at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Moreover, some 200 beverage companies from the region have been short listed for the Qatrah Award, which is one of the major highlights of the 2nd Arab Beverages Forum.

The Qatrah Award will recognise the Arab World’s best brands in bottled water, carbonated and soft drinks, fruit juices, dairy beverages, health and energy drinks, and hot beverages categories.
