Six Senses Zighy Bay,  Horizons Nouveaux and Al
Marsa Musandam are delighted to announce the launch of the first Tented Camp
Experience in Musandam, Oman.

Each partner is totally committed to supporting and protecting the environment
and this pioneering project is entirely eco friendly. There are three different
camps, set in remote areas of stunning natural beauty, deep in the heart of the
Musandam Peninsula; one on the coast of the Gulf of Oman, one high on a rocky
plateau, virtually touching the stars and one nestled into the wadi.

Guests can experience the absolute silence and wonder of these spectacular
lands, whilst enjoying the depth of comfort and level of luxury which Six Senses
is famous for and being sure in the knowledge that no trace of their stay will
be left behind to tarnish it.  No footprint will be left.

The Musandam Peninsula belongs to the Sultanate of Oman and has been home to Six
Senses Zighy Bay for the last two years.  It is a land of deep valleys, high
flat mountains and clear, cool 'fjords'.   Guests are welcomed to Zighy Bay for
a night or two before travelling to the first of the camps.

Each camp offers a different, unique, experience and not only with the
landscape. The tents themselves include teepees, bell tents and blue monoliths,
created by Horizons Nouveaux for this unique event. The food and drinks,
designed by Six Senses Zighy Bay's Executive Chef, follow Six Senses Slow Life
philosophy, of locally grown, fresh ingredients.  Breads are bought from local
bakers, fish caught daily from the gulf and fruit and vegetables from the
nearest farms. The menus are inspired by indigenous dishes.  As the black of
night descends and the air grows cool in the camp, dinner is served under the
stars, accompanied by gentle Omani drumming or lute playing, or perhaps a
display of sword fighting.

Each day offers epic adventures. Trips 1,200 meters above sea level to the
village of Akag Al Asoo, with its terraced fields and wild flowers; or to Wadi
Al Bih to see it's abundance of petrogliphs; a boat trip around the gulf of
Oman; a challenging hike across wadis and small settlements; kayaking tours and
wonderful snorkeling. All this before arriving at the next camp, to be led up a
path lit by flaming torches and to your luxurious tent and an ice cold drink.

Three nights and days of wonder and delight later and guests return to Zighy Bay
and its Six Senses Spa to relax.

The Tented Camps of Oman will be available between October 2010 through to the
Spring 2011.
