After two months of constant SMS traffic, Pepsi has announced the winners of its Crossfire promotion. The summer special offered Pepsi drinkers the chance to win thousands of prizes during the warmer months, including dream prizes of three Chrysler Crossfire’s, which have only just reached the UAE market. Other prizes up for grabs included iPods, Sony PS2, Etisalat phonecards and ring tones.

Simply by pulling the ring pull, and SMS-ing the number under the closure to 4404, Khalid Mohammed Nasser, Nithin Sabu and Yasar Arfath Bythulbihar have all driven off with the promotion’s grand prizes of a Chrysler Crossfire each. Everyone who entered the SMS promotion received a free ring tone for their mobile phone.

Speaking of his win, Khalid Mohammed Nasser from Lebanon, said: “This is a once in a lifetime experience. I couldn’t believe my luck when I got the news.”

The promotion ran across the Pepsi and Diet Pepsi brands, available through supermarkets, quick service restaurants, baqalas, convenience and smart stores, as well as through a number of scratch and win store promotions with partners serving Pepsi beverages.

Other prizes from the variety of partner and store promotions included four trips to Mauritius, valued at US$2,000 each, mobile phones, portable DVD players and LCD screens.

Speaking of the promotion, Peter Dickens, Group Marketing Manager for Dubai Refreshment (P.S.C.), said: “Pepsi is always looking to generate news and create consumer hype, which is why we choose prizes that are relevant and valuable. We are pleased for the three grand prizewinners and hope they enjoy their win to the fullest.
