A tribute to Iguerbouchen

The wilaya of Bejaia and the Akbou Cultural Association organized the 7th edition of Soummam festival as a tribute to the famous Algerian composer, Mohamed Iguerbouchen. The program of the Soummam festival, which ended July 8, included a conference on the life of Iguerbouchen. 

Liberte Algeria reports that Iguerbouchen was the composer of 350 music pieces, including Rhapsodies Kabyles and a Night in Grenade. He also composed the music of famous movies such as Dzair, Pepe Moko, the Ideal Land, Kaddour in Paris and Algiers for Andre Serrouy. He received the first piano prize of Vienna in 1926.
