ALBAWABA - U.S. President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that talks for a peace deal in the Middle East were in the "final throes".
This comes after Iran and Israel announcement to stop fighting, which was sparked when Tehran attacked Israel over the latter's aggressive strikes on Lebanon. Tel Aviv responded with attacks on the Islamic Republic.
The U.S. President said many times that a peace deal with Iran is imminent, but diplomacy has stalled and the two sides have traded fire despite the ceasefire agreed on April 8.

Iran and Israel "were going back and forth and now they both agreed through me to stop, and we're in the final throes of what will be a very, very good deal," Trump told reporters on his return from an NBA Finals game.
He also mentioned that a deal should be reached within "two or three days".
Tehran promised on Monday that it would target Tel Aviv again if it persisted with its strikes in Lebanon, while Netanyahu threatened in turn that should Iran "make the mistake of resuming attacks against us, we will respond with full force".
