ALBAWABA - On Sunday, US President-elect Donald Trump announced that Lebanese-American billionaire Massad Boulos will be his senior counselor on Arab and Middle Eastern matters.

Trump stated on his Truth Social account that Massad, his daughter Tiffany's father-in-law, "is an accomplished lawyer and a highly respected leader in the business world, with extensive experience on the international scene".

Boulous, the father-in-law of Tiffany, the daughter of the president-elect, played a significant role in Trump's campaigning efforts in Muslim-American neighborhoods in states that were considered battlegrounds.

The appointments in the upcoming administration cast doubt on Trump's family members' ability to influence, profit, and authority within the US government.
