ALBAWABA - According to the Anadolu Agency, Forgein Minister Hakan Fidan stated that his country is set to soon reopen its consulate general in Benghazi, eastern Libya.
Back in October 2023, Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, gave the green light to reopen the Turkish consulate general in Benghazi to begin implementing the technical and administrative procedures and start their work.
Dbeibah met in Tripoli with a Turkish delegation led by then-Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Yildiz and Kenan Yilmaz, the Turkish ambassador in Libya. They all talked about a variety of shared local and international issues, as well as ways to improve bilateral economic cooperation.
