TWMA, the international integrated environmental services specialist, has invested £8million into the building of five new TCC-RotoMills to support its strategic growth plans for both its UK and international markets.  The company secured £17million of RBS funding in September this year to assist in its’ expansion.

The TCC-RotoMill technology allows the offshore processing of hydrocarbon contaminated drill cuttings in an environmentally sound way. The first of these new-build TCC-RotoMills was launched in November at a series of open days when key clients were invited to view the technology at the company’s headquarters in Aberdeen and the remaining four are scheduled to be completed by early 2008.  The new equipment will ensure that TWMA is able to meet increasing demand from the oil and gas industry for its environmental services with minimal lead times and optimal efficiency.

Ronnie Garrick, managing director, TWMA, said:  “The new TCC-RotoMills enables TWMA to continue with its dynamic expansion globally while providing a cost-effective solution for the treatment of hydrocarbon contaminated cuttings both in the UK and worldwide.  Our objective is to be the leading provider of a fully integrated and comprehensive range of environmental services – this new investment, coupled with the opening of our new international bases, highlights our success to date while providing a solid base for the building of the business in the future.”

He added:  “Since securing funding by Lime Rock earlier this year, TWMA has gone from strength to strength.  The demand for our services is growing throughout the world as more restrictive legislation continues to impact on the oil and gas industry.   We will continue to provide companies with a much needed resource at a time when all parties are under increasing pressure to perform within strict environmental guidelines.”

A world leader in the handling and treatment of hydrocarbon contaminated drill cuttings and other drilling waste materials, TWMA is the only company in the world able to process these drilling waste cuttings offshore using thermal technology and has won two awards in 2007 in recognition of this innovation and achievement.  The TCC-RotoMill is an integrated part of the range of environmental services provided by TWMA - these include the treatment of hydrocarbon contaminated wastes (drill cuttings), the handling and storage of these wastes, slops and sludge treatment, general waste management and engineering services.
