ALBAWABA- Australia's acting foreign minister, Mark Dreyfus, confirmed that two Australian citizens, Ibrahim Bazzi and his brother Ali Bazzi, were killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon amid clashes with Hezbollah.
Ibrahim Bazzi, who had recently arrived in Lebanon from Sydney to accompany his Lebanese wife, Shorouq Hammoud, back to Australia, was allegedly an associate of Hezbollah.
Tragically, Hammoud, who had recently obtained an Australian visa, also lost her life in the attack.
The three victims were laid to rest with their coffins draped in the flag of Hezbollah, an ally of the Palestinian Islamist faction Hamas in ongoing conflicts with Israel.
