Two Lebanese women were killed by armed men in Ashour, a suburb of Algiers, and two Algerians were wounded in an explosion in al-Shararba, also a vicinity of the Algerian capital, on Sunday.

Security sources told the Kuwait News Agency that the women were working in a telecommunications building when the killers entered and shot them, taking advantage of the arrival of utility workers.

An estimated 100 foreigners have been killed in Algeria since the ongoing wave of violence was sparked a decade ago.

Meanwhile, Algerian security sources have also said that a child and a man were injured Sunday morning in an explosion of an explosive device in a daily market in al-Sharaba, south east of the Algerian capital. (albawaba.com)
