Two presidential guard soldiers were killed in Yemen's interim capital Aden on Monday, according to a Yemeni police chief.
Nasir Abbad, Aden's Hur Mekser district police chief, said that the identities of the perpetrators were not yet known.
During the attack, the soldiers were on their motorbikes near a Yemeni Airways building in Hur Mekser, Abbad said.
Yemen has been dogged by violence and chaos since 2014, when Houthi rebels overran much of the country, including capital Sanaa.
In 2015, Saudi Arabia and its Sunni-Arab allies -- who accuse the Houthis of serving as an Iranian proxy -- launched a massive military campaign in Yemen aimed at rolling back Houthi gains.
