Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his United Arab Emirates counterpart Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan met Tuesday to discuss the ongoing crisis in the Palestinian territories, Emirati news agency WAM reported.
"The two leaders reviewed the grave situation of the Palestinian people and the serious threat to peace in the region represented by the Israeli actions and crimes," WAM reported.
The two leaders also reviewed "Arab and international efforts to end the suffering of the Palestinian people," it said.
Mubarak, who is currently engaged in a series of consultations on the crisis in the Middle East, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, accompanied by Foreign Minister Ahmad Maher and Defense Minister Hussein Tantawi. He flew out shortly after the meeting. (Albawaba.com)
