The UAE and Morocco set up a joint committee during the recent visit to Rabat by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the deputy ruler of Dubai and minister of finance and industry

Maktoum delivered a message from President Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to King Mohammed during the visit, which wrapped up Wednesday.

During the visit, the two countries endorsed the formation of a joint UAE-Morocco committee charged with preparing studies for projects of high economic potential which would be of benefit to both the UAE and Morocco, reported the Khaleej Times.

In a statement issued in Rabat, quoted by the daily, the Dubai leader said that the joint committee would soon commence work and present results of its studies to ministers in charge of the projects in both countries, who would submit the proposals to their governments for approval.

He said that both private and public sectors would be involved in the projects.
