Britain told reporters Monday that it renewed diplomatic relations with Iran two years after an angry mob vandalized the British embassy in Tehran, according to Reuters.
Britain has appointed Ajay Sharma to serve as a non-resident charge d'affaires to Tehran. He previously served in Britain's Foreign Office as the head of the ministry's Iran department.
Monday's announcement seems to demonstrate another "thaw" in Iran's relations with the West.
