ALBAWABA - Ukraine claimed Wednesday that it has destroyed another Russian warship in the Black Sea, a critical battleground in the almost two-year conflict in which Kyiv's troops have recently increased strikes.

The military said its soldiers, working with military intelligence elements, "destroyed" the Russian landing ship, the Caesar Kunikov. Moscow said it had shot down six Ukrainian drones over the important body of water.

Following a visit to eastern Ukraine with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, newly appointed Ukrainian military leader Oleksandr Syrsky stated on Wednesday that the situation on the front lines was hazardous.

"The operational environment is quite difficult and demanding. The Russian occupiers continue to increase their efforts and have a numerical advantage in personnel," Syrsky stated on social media.
