ALBAWABA- Russian media has confirmed that Ukrainian armed forces breached the border in Russia's Belgorod region, successfully penetrating the defenses of the Chechen "Akhmat" special forces.

Initial reports of fighting along the border surfaced in the morning, followed by claims that Ukrainian forces had broken through Russian defenses.

The commander of Kadyrov's Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov, dismissed videos circulating online that allegedly showed captured Akhmat soldiers, calling them fake.

Alaudinov argued that the soldiers in the videos had their faces covered and offered to present a "real" soldier with identifiable details, including name, military unit, and face.

However, shortly after, the 225th Separate Assault Battalion released a video showing another captured Kadyrovite, adding to the ongoing controversy.

In a related development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the war with Russia will ultimately end through dialogue, but emphasized that Ukraine must first strengthen its position.

He announced plans to discuss this strategy with U.S. President Joe Biden and potential successors. Zelensky also noted that Ukraine's recent incursion into Russia’s Kursk region, along with other economic and diplomatic measures, are part of a broader effort to compel Russia to end the war.

Zelensky is expected to visit the U.S. in September to attend the U.N. General Assembly and meet with Biden to further these discussions.
