Lebanese Premier Fuad Siniora has urged U.N. Security Council member states to pressure Israel into returning the bodies of three Hizbullah fighters killed earlier this week in a clash along the Lebanon-Israel border, the local media reported Thursday.

The three Hizbullah fighters were identified as Wissam Bawwab, 29, Ali Shamseddine, 26 and Mohammed Mousawi, 25. A fourth Hizbullah fighter killed in Monday's clashes Youssef Barakat, 27, was pulled from the main battle scene at Al Ghajar township on the spot, Nahar reported.

According to the Thursday's edition of the Beirut-based Safir daily, Hizbullah has notified local and international circles it will give a chance to the diplomatic efforts to get back the bodies.

Meanwhile, the U.S., France and Britain along with the U.N. Secretariat have put the blame on Hizbullah for starting the border flare up. In a statement read out to reporters on Wednesday the 15-nation body expressed concern about the eruption of violence. The statement explicitly said that Hizbullah initiated the attacks on Monday.
