Reuters reports that UN peace talks on Syria will resume on March 14.
Jessy Chahine, the spokeswoman for UN special envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura, confirmed that while peace talks are scheduled to begin on March 9, some involved parties will not arrive to Geneva until the 12th or later. The UN expects all parties to be present and participating in discussions by March 14th.
The same groups will participate in this series of peace talks as last month. The Syrian opposition recently elected a new leader, Anas al-Abdah, who may attend.
Al-Nusra Front, Daesh, and other militant extremist groups are not invitied.
