Universitas 21 Global, the world's premier online Graduate School, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) Certification of e-Learning (CEL), the first worldwide accreditation of e-Learning supported programs in the field of management education. Universitas 21 Global is only the second business school in the world to have received the CEL since the European Foundation of Management Development, the Swiss Centre for Innovations in Learning at the University of St Gallen, and Spirus Applied Learning Solutions formed a joint initiative to develop the quality management system to promote advanced quality of e-Learning

The EFMD through EQUIS (the European Quality Improvement Services), and CLIP (the Corporate Learning Improvement Process) is recognized globally as an accreditation and certification body of quality in management education. With the exponential growth of e-Learning in the last five years, the EFMD has developed CEL with the fundamental objective of raising the standard of e-Learning programs worldwide. The accreditation examines in detail the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process and provides a coherent concept for the evaluation and advancement of educational programs.

Commenting on the accreditation, Dr. Mukesh Aghi, CEO, Universitas 21 Global, said, “We are extremely pleased to have received CEL for our pioneering MBA program, which attests to our belief that our quality is the key differentiator in the online education sphere. Since day one, we have ensured that every facet of the school is built on the pursuit of quality. Our graduate programs are backed by 16 of the world’s leading universities, our faculty is made up of some of the most distinguished educators from around the globe and our students undergo stringent admissions processes. We believe that this recognition of quality will further extend the appreciation of Universitas 21 Global and the programs we offer. In fact, our emphasis on quality is becoming apparent to our member universities who are keen to learn from Universitas 21 Global’s success in the online education space.”

Congratulating Universitas 21 Global on its latest achievement, Prof. Eric Cornuel, the Director General of EFMD said, “The success of an online education program goes beyond the technology on which it is delivered. In awarding Universitas 21 Global the CEL, we examined many elements such as the school’s program profile, its pedagogy, the technologies it employs, as well as its organisational infrastructure and school culture. We are pleased to say that Universitas 21 Global exceeded our expectations in all the CEL criteria and the audit review team was very impressed with the people and responses they received during their visit to the graduate school.”
