ALBAWABA - US President Donald Trump said that the country's forces have attacked three Iranian nuclear sites in a “very successful attack”.

He also revealed that the heavily fortified Fordow nuclear facility is "gone". According to the media, Trump’s decision on Saturday to join Israel in its attacks against Iran is considered a major escalation of the conflict.

"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan," Trump revealed via Truth Social, adding that the military planes were now on their way home.

In response, Iran launched a barrage of missiles against Israel on Sunday morning, wounding at least 16 people, Israeli news outlets reported.

Iran revealed that the armed forces targeted multiple sites in Israel, including Ben Gurion airport. "The twentieth wave of Operation Honest Promise 3 began using a combination of long-range liquid and solid fuel missiles with devastating warhead power," the armed forces revealed in a statement.

Loud explosions were heard in many cities across Israel, and Israel's emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), dispatched teams to at least 10 crash sites.

Sixteen people were injured, with one in the Shfela area, The Jerusalem Post mentioned.
