ALBAWABA - At least nine people were killed, including four children, in the collapse of two buildings in Fes city in Morocco.
The collapse happened in the Al-Massira neighborhood of Zouagha district in Fes, in the northeast of Morocco. The buildings' collapse resulted in nine deaths and 15 injuries, according to initial reports.
According to preliminary official figures, the incident claimed the lives of four children and injured 12 people, including two pregnant women whose conditions are stable. Three other people sustained serious injuries.
All the injured were quickly transferred to Hassan II University Hospital to receive necessary treatment, according to Moroccan media reports.
Civil defense personnel managed to pull one child alive from the rubble, along with several injured people, some in critical condition.
Rescue works continue as authorities look for more survivors trapped beneath the debris.
