welsh exhibitor signs major deal worth £1.5 million at the big 5 2007
Wales-based Teddington Engineered Solutions, exhibiting at The Big 5 for the first time this year, sealed a major deal with Kinetics Middle East LLC on the first day of this year’s show. The company, which manufactures metallic expansion joints that are used extensively in the construction sector has been active in the Middle East for 30 years.
Jason Thomas, Commercial Manager of Teddington Engineered Solutions and Aziz Abouseda of Kinetics Middle East LLC, concluded the £1.5 million distribution deal at The Big 5 today. “We have been working with Kinetics for over 5 years, and there is a good fit between the two companies,” said Thomas. “We are delighted to conclude this distribution deal which will allow Kinetics to distribute Teddington’s construction related products.”
Teddington has already been involved with projects on The Palm Dubai as well as the Burj Tower Dubai, and have also been very successful in the oil and gas field. “This is our first visit to The Big 5 but it will certainly not be the last,” said Thomas.
Teddington offers a customised design service and attention to the needs of its customers, be it for original contracts or replacement and servicing work, and this is the keynote of their success. A dedicated team is able to handle any project, large or small, with all critical operations under Teddington’s direct control from inception to despatch.
“We continue to stand for what is best in the Expansion Joint field,” added Thomas. “The continued success of our company will be based on our great care in generating products of the highest possible quality. As a deliberate policy we have always resisted the "catalogue selling" approach. Although there is a range of standardised products available, experience has shown that in most instances within our market sector the need for a clear and full understanding both of the application conditions and client requirements are of paramount importance. Only when such co-operation exists can we draw on our wide specialised knowledge and generate an optimised Expansion Joint solution.”
