Natuzzi, world leader in the upholstered leather furniture market and Italy’s leading furniture manufacturer, will shortly be opening the doors of its exclusive flagship store in Dubai that will also be the company’s largest stand-alone showroom in the world.

The Dubai store will join Natuzzi’s portfolio of A-class stores around the world including New York, Stockholm, Barcelona, Sydney, Shanghai, Paris and London.

Encompassing a total area of 2,200 sq. meters, the opening of the showroom marks the beginning of Natuzzi’s expansion plans in the Gulf region.  The showroom will feature the best of Natuzzi’s products that characterize Italian design, quality and innovation through its three style concepts – casual, urban and vintage; offering customers the flexibility to select products based on their individual lifestyle requirements.

Natuzzi’s Dubai store will be only one of the few showrooms worldwide to showcase the entire new Natuzzi collection that can inspire over two million combinations, thus underlining the importance that the company attaches to this market.

Having so far supplied the regional market through a network of leading retailers in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and particularly in the UAE with its long-standing partner Western Furniture - which runs another Natuzzi store in the Abu Dhabi Mall and displays Natuzzi products in a gallery setting in Dubai - Natuzzi feels the time is right to strengthen its presence in the region beginning with this flagship store in Dubai.
“The Gulf and especially the UAE is experiencing a major growth in its economy.  The boom in the construction sector has many positive spin-off effects, not the least of which is an increasing demand for furniture from home-owners.  At the same time, we have noticed a definite interest for stylish and quality products, aspirations that Natuzzi can quite easily fulfill,” said Daniele Tranchini, Natuzzi Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.

In 2003, the upholstery market in the U.A.E. was estimated at US$67.8 million that increased to US$70 million in 2004.

Added Naji Fatte, Natuzzi’s Middle East representative: “Natuzzi will definitely appeal to a wide consumer group with its range of vintage and contemporary products, but more importantly, we will be offering the Natuzzi promise to our customers – that is the guarantee of high-end quality and stylish Italian products, but at optimum price value.  In fact, by controlling the entire supply chain, the Group achieves efficiency and excellent quality levels. This has been Natuzzi’s recipe for success all over the world and continues to be the cornerstone of our global strategy.”

Western Furniture which for years has featured Natuzzi’s products in dedicated galleries in several of their stores in UAE will be the local partner for Natuzzi.  Said Mikdad Bhabrawala, General Manager, Western Furniture:  “Over the years, Natuzzi products have attracted considerable attention in our gallery, not just from end users, but from architects and interior designers as well.  The brand has already created a niche for itself, and the opening of the store will help to meet what we expect to be a considerable demand for our consumer audience.”
