Efforts are continuing to hold the biggest and most important Security & Safety Exhibition & Conference in the Middle East. The event which is being held for the second time will again have the honour of holding S&SME ’05 under the patronage of His Highness Lt General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Interior and is being organised between the General Exhibitions Corporation – Abu Dhabi, the UAE Ministry of Interior and Messe Essen of Germany.
The 2005 edition of S&SME is seeing participation from major international renowned companies confirming their intent to exhibit at this prestigious event. More recently we have seen the contract signing from Siemens, which is known the world over for its products and services within the sectors that Security & Safety covers. With more than 80% of the available space having already been booked and witnessing a huge pavilion to be occupied by the UAE Ministry of Interior, which will also provide a platform for the other emirates of the UAE to station its own government departments, all representing the Ministry’s services, equipments, strategies and ongoing projects.
During the S&SME 05 a conference will be held by the UAE Ministry of Interior in parallel to the exhibition, which will focus on; Crimes, Terrorism, Civil Defence & Safety, Policing the UAE Community, Maintaining Security & Safety and Combating Newly Invited Crimes. A workshop on Technology Against Terrorism (TAT) will also be held in conjunction with the exhibition and conference, a topic that during today’s climate is seen as a crucial one, focussing on ‘Building Security’.
“This event is gathering momentum as we move nearer and is being held at a time when our countries security needs are at an all time high,” recently commented a spokesperson from GEC-AD.
