A special prize for the best female film director award went to Belgo-Moroccan director Yasmine Kassari for her film “L’enfant endormi” (The Sleeping Child) in the 3rd International Copenhegan Film Festival. Kassari said, “This is the 20th prize that I won for this film. It makes me really happy because it shows that people like it.”Kassari’s “L’enfant endormi”, which the Jury of the Festival described as “touching”, tells the story of a young and pregnant Moroccan woman, and the departure of her husband to Europe shortly after their wedding.
