Yemen's Presdient Ali Abdullah Saleh opened on Sunday the Sana'a Regional Inter-governmental Conference on Democracy, Human Rights and the Role of the International Criminal Court. In the opening speech, the Yemeni leader welcomed the participants and said: "We feel deep sorrow and pain for the sufferings endured by the brotherly Palestinian people. They are suffering stark violations of their rights

by the Israeli occupation forces. The world should have its loud voice and firm stance to stop those violations and to pressure Israel to implement the Road Map and adhere to the resolutions of the international legitimacy related to the Arab Israeli conflict in order that just and comprehensive

peace might prevail in the region."

On Saturday, Yemen's Foreign Minister Abu Bakr A. Al-Qerbi said that "all Arab states have representatives for the Conference on Democracy.

He said that the organizers of the committee involved the legislative, executive and judicial branches of every participating country in the event. "Majority of the 660 representatives are foreign ministers, justice ministers and parliament speakers," he said, according to SABA
