A republican decree No.159 for 2004 has been issued to establish a public department for fighting terrorism and regular crimes.
According to the decree the department belongs directly to the Yemeni Interior Ministry which will identify the administration's missions.
According to SABA, the decree said the department would be in-charge of putting plans to fight all forms of terorr and forgery of coin, credit cards, passports, identities cards and other documents.
