Yemen’s Minister of Transportation and Marine Affairs Sa'id Abdullah Yaf'ee left for Cairo Monday, accompanied by a delegation, to take part in meetings of the 15th round of the Arab transportation ministers council, due to be held in the Arab League's headquarters between October 29-31.

In comments to Yemen’s news agency, Yaf'ee said the meetings’ agenda would include several important issues, mainly the two decisions, which were taken by the Beirut Arab summit in March, concerning the fisheries and transportation sectors.

Furthermore, Yaf'ee stated that the council would discuss adopting an Arab position toward the increase of maritime insurance fees in Arab ports by international insurance companies, confirming that Arab states had been damaged following the September 11 events and Yemen had been damaged, in particular, following the French tanker Limburg incident earlier this month.
