A member of the Yemeni parliament was shot dead on Wednesday in the Yemeni capital, a security source said. The source told KUNA that Mohammed Shummar, a member of the ruling party and a renowned businessman, was fatally shot by gunmen while returning home in the residential district of Heddah in the southern part of the city.
His bodyguard was slightly wounded in the attack. Police reported that a suspect was apprehended shortly after the attack.
