Just before the beginning of Ramadan, ZUMA has designed a special tea menu with a diversity of flavours and health benefits to refresh diners in the evening hours. All guests breaking their fast at ZUMA will receive a complimentary cleansing beverage as well as a selection of dates, and the Taste of Zuma evening menu will be available from Iftar timing onward.

Selections of 20 different varieties of teas are now available at ZUMA, as well as infusions of fresh herbs to re-hydrate and complement the restaurant's award-winning dishes. From Iftar onward, guests opting for the Taste of Zuma menu can choose from starters and mains which include 16 of Zuma's signature dishes, as well as miso soup, steamed edamame, and a beverage selection.

An element of the new tea menu that was especially selected for Middle Eastern palates is Gyokuroen Osaka, a sweet green tea that offers a lighter and more refreshing alternative to Turkish coffee. In addition, ZUMA has included five other Japanese green teas, including jasmine, toasted whole rice-kernel, and low-caffeine varieties with distinct aromas, colours and tastes.

"Complemented by dates and cleansing beverages, Zuma's menu is a light, healthy and welcoming option for Ramadan dining, including our new tea offerings. With its antioxidant and immunity-building benefits, tea is both a traditional and contemporary beverage choice in the Middle East, and we have sourced an incredible variety of rare teas to share with our guests in Ramadan and beyond," said Ajaz Sheikh, Director of Operations – Middle East – for ZUMA.

For the first time, ZUMA is offering two varieties of white tea – a Ceylon and a hand-rolled lychee version -- which as the least processed of all leaves has the most delicate flavour as well as the most significant antioxidant benefit. Included in the same menu are pure herb infusions including lemongrass, ginger, mint, and chamomile, for refreshment with no caffeine.
