ALBAWABA - A shooting attack inside Brown University in the United States killed at least two people and injured nine others, the police announced on Saturday.
The police said that they received a report that the gunman opened fire in a classroom at around 16:00 local time at the Barus and Holley engineering building on the eastern end of the Ivy League university's campus.
According to officials, students were having their final exams when the attacker entered and opened fire, killing two people and injuring nine others at Rhode Island's Brown University. Rhode Island Hospital detailed that most of the injured are in a "critical but stable" condition.
Is this the Brown University shooting suspect?
Several accounts on X posted images of a man, allegedly claiming that he is the suspect of the Brown University shooting.
According to claims on social media, the suspect is allegedly identified as "Sammy Hidner".
However, the police have not yet revealed any details about the suspect's identity, nor have they announced conducting any arrests of a person related to the shooting at Brown University.
The BBC reported, citing officials in the U.S., that a manhunt is underway after two students were killed and several others were wounded in the shooting.
In addition, despite that the police have released limited information about the shooter; however, they shared CCTV footage of him walking out of the building after the attack.
