ALBAWABA - Amid his bilateral meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II and crown prince to discuss Gaza's state, US President Donald Trump issued a 40-second message to the people of Jordan praising the country's king and its residents.
Trump said during the video, "You are very, very fantastic people with tremendous brilliance and energy… you have a King who is a tremendous man… King Abdullah II is one of the true great leaders of the world."
He added, "You are very lucky to have him and I say that from my heart, you are very very lucky to have him. God bless you all, you have a great life and a great king."

The bilateral meeting was triggered by the uncertainty surrounding the ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel. The Palestinian resistance group halted the release of Israeli hostages, claiming that Israel violated the truce between the two parties.
Trump recently suggested taking control of Gaza, while adding that neighboring countries such as Jordan and Egypt should take in the displaced Palestinians who suffered a grueling 15-month war due to the constant bombardment from Israel.
This sparked outrage across several social media outlets, as users swarmed countless comment sections discussing the matter in question with one message towards Donald Trump which read, "Gaza is not for sale."
Another added, "Gaza isn't a piece of real estate to "own" Mr. Presidnet."
At the time, the proposal was condemned by many countries including Jordan, Egypt, China, and Germany, which opted for Trump to say, "If they don't, I would conceivably withhold aid, yes," and the bilateral meeting mentioned above.
