ALBAWABA - A video widely circulated on social media caused a wide fuzz after two men and a dog were spotted locked inside a house and surrounded by a massive fire in Pacific Palisades, in the United States.
The video was captured by one of the men inside the house and shows flames surrounding the house while they are unable to escape anywhere. He was heard telling his dog while patting him: "You're gonna be okay. Hi, You're gonna be okay."
Social media activists are calling authorities to help the men and their dog inside the house as the footage went viral on the X platform.
X user "Kevin Dalton," who was the first person to post the video on social media, commented on the same clip to assure netizens that people and the dog were rescued. He wrote: "I am told the dog and both his humans were able to safely evacuate the property."
A person commented on the clip: "That's a terrifying situation I'd never want to be in. Sounds like they got out ok, thank God." Another said: "Get in the shower with the dogs and turn it on. That’s the only idea I have. My heart breaks."
On the other hand, some social media users blamed the men for not leaving their house when authorities called to evacuate homes.
LA Times reported on Tuesday evening that a terrifying fire went out of control in Pacific Palisades, forcing people to flee their homes as flames engulfed them.
The Palisades fire extended to 2,900 acres, forcing around 30,000 residents to leave their homes.
By 6:30 p.m., the grounds of the Getty Villa and the campus of Palisades Charter High School caught fire, LA Times further revealed.
Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell confirmed in a press conference that no injuries were reported in the massive fire however, it is spreading very fast.
