ALBAWABA - A heartbreaking video has gone viral since Wednesday evening of a Syrian stepfather brutally torturing the daughter of his wife, whose age is not over 9.
The footage has angered many people on social media users who called authorities to interfere to save the little child from her stepfather's hands.
The man in the video was identified as Ahmed Ibrahim, who was seen torturing the orphan by beating her with a stick while her hands and feet were tied and despite her screams and crying he continued to torture her.
He also forced the little child to count the number of hits she received. According to the recorded clip, the little girl was attacked 50 times on her feet while her mother was watching and taking the video.
The child's name is Shahad Nassar and she was living in the abuser's house in the town of Al-Fu’ah, located in the countryside of Idlib governorate, before she was moved to the city of Afrin, about 40 days before the video was circulated, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
On the other hand, some Syrian news outlets reported that the stepfather was arrested after the video circulated on social media.
