ALBAWABA - A pregnant woman was caught on video shouting and screaming in pain as she was being abused and brutally attacked by her former husband in the middle of the street in Turkey.
Turkish media reported that the incident took place in the Akhisar district in Manisa city, when the victim, named Sudenaz A., 19, was subjected to violence at the hands of her ex-husband Yılmaz Akman, 37.
A video went viral across social media platforms showing a woman on the ground while being attacked by a man who was at the beginning of the clip using an iron stick before using his arms and legs to kick and punch her.
According to sources, the man came to the city of Manisa to take his ex-wife to the village and when she refused his request, he got angry and began to attack her in the middle of the street while people were watching in silence as she screamed helplessly.
However, as she was brutally attacked, a shopkeeper intervened, took the iron stick away and rescued the woman.
The pregnant woman confirmed that she has been subjected to violence since she was 14 years old and despite complaining about it nothing was changed.
The former husband of Sudenaz A. has a criminal record of 18 and he was arrested after the incident.
