ALBAWABA - Social media users have been claiming that Israeli journalist Ephraim Mordechai was arrested by authorities after he reported about Israeli army deaths in Gaza.
Posts have flooded on X platform, formerly known as Twitter, allegedly saying that the famous Israeli journalist Ephraim Mordechai was detained after his statement "that he saw the bodies of Israeli soldiers piled up by dozens inside a hospital in Tel Aviv."
According to allegations, the Israeli army is now keeping the bodies of their soldiers, which the Israeli journalist described as alarming numbers, inside a hospital in Tel Aviv and it is not handing them over to their parents and families.
Ephraim Mordechai said that the Israeli military allegedly kept the bodies of the soldiers from their families, deepening the gravity of the situation as the war on Gaza is still ongoing a month after it started on Oct. 7.
However, no official statement from the Israeli army has been made yet regarding the arrest of Israeli journalist Ephraim Mordechai.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced on Monday that 30 soldiers have been killed while 260 others were injured since the expansion of its ground operations in Gaza on Oct. 27.
On the other hand, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced the death toll has jumped to at least 10,022 people, including 4,104 children.
