ALBAWABA - Amid marking Pride Month, Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States, has received a group of LGBTQ+ members along with her husband Douglas Emhoff.
A video has circulated online where social media users responded to the reaction of Kamala Harris' husband to the meeting of LGBTQ+ members.
In the video, the US VP was seen welcoming a gay couple, while her husband was standing behind her smiling in a suspicious way.
An X user called Matt Wallace posted the video and wrote: "What do you notice about Kamala Harris’s husband in this video?"
A person commented: "YES ! and he looks always so boring anyway." Meanwhile, another said: "Is that Jesus Christ?" (in reference to the man with the long hair, beard and long white dress).
On the other hand, another person commented on the video by saying: "Just imagine how emasculating it must be to be Kamala Harris’ husband."
Nonetheless, many others criticized the US for celebrating Pride month amid ongoing conflicts in the world, a person said: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is what is going on at the White House instead of solving America’s problems."
On Tuesday, Kamala Harris encouraged children who are afraid to come out and wrote on X: "Our LGBTQI+ children should not fear who they are.
No one should be made to fight alone.
We are all in this together and we will fight with pride."
